Don’t spend thousands to replace a dirty roof! Black stains and streaks are actually a bacteria called Gleocapsa magma. Over time, it feeds off of the materials inside your shingles. The longer this bacteria is allowed to remain on the roof, the worse it gets and the more damage it causes the shingles. It will not allow the shingles to reflect the sun, therefore causing higher energy costs.
